Saint-Gobain Interior Solutions commissioned Ecosophy Studio to carry out a dynamic hygrothermal analysis aimed at assessing the moisture and heat performance of their new Isover Optima Internal Wall Insulation System.
The scope of our assessment included parametric dynamic simulations of heat and moisture transfer across multiple UK climate zones, various wind-driven rain exposure categories, and different orientations. Through a series of dynamic hygrothermal simulations, we examined how each component of the system influences overall moisture behaviour under a wide range of environmental conditions.
This analysis enabled us to provide Saint-Gobain with valuable insights to support product development, identifying parameters that enhance moisture safety, opportunities for improvement, and long-term thermal performance. The results informed key design decisions and helped optimise the system’s hygrothermal characteristics ahead of its market launch.
