Ecosophy Studio presents a detailed case study on the assessment and optimisation of the EZY FIT Green Loft System. Dynamic hygrothermal simulations were carried out with the WUFI® software family in accordance with BS EN 15026 to evaluate moisture behaviour, condensation risk, and long-term durability across multiple UK climates, vapour control strategies, and indoor moisture loads. In parallel, 3D thermal modelling using TRISCO was undertaken to optimise the system design, assess thermal bridging effects, and calculate realistic in-use thermal transmittance.
Discover how Ecosophy Studio helped Ezy Fit optimise their new hemp-based Green IWI system. Our comprehensive approach with WUFI®, 2D, and 3D analyses informed the design of a sustainable, moisture-safe system, leading to its successful KIWA certification.
Ecosophy Studio was appointed by Saint-Gobain Roofspace Solutions to undertake dynamic hygrothermal modelling of the iRoof™ system to understand how the system performs in terms of moisture behaviour and thermal stability under different design and environmental conditions. The results informed product development and helped iRoof™ achieve the first BBA certification for a panelised roofing system.
Ecosophy Studio supported Saint-Gobain Interior Solutions with dynamic hygrothermal modelling using the WUFI® software family to assess and optimise the moisture performance of a new insulation system. Parametric simulations across different UK climates and applications informed key design choices ahead of the product’s launch.
Ecosophy Studio worked with QODA Consulting to assess how insulation strategies impact the historic cast-iron tank and roof of the Grade II-listed Jumbo Water Tower, in Colchester, UK. Discover how our hygrothermal modelling supported a moisture-safe, heritage-sensitive retrofit for this landmark redevelopment.
Discover how Ecosophy Studio’s hygrothermal assessment of the VundaHaus Off-Site Façade System ensured the moisture safety of this External Wall Insulation (EWI) solution.
Discover Ecosophy Studio’s latest hygrothermal research presented at the International Conference for Moisture in Buildings (ICMB25), delving into the moisture risk assessment of internal wall insulation (IWI) methods and their impact on embedded timber joists, using WUFI® modelling.
